Hello!

My name is Mr. Lance, and I teach chemistry here at ASTEC!

In my classes, scholars can look forward to gaining knowledge about how the molecules and processes all around us work! This is a hard class, but I am confident we can have fun and succeed together! I expect all scholars to follow the ASTEC Mission Statement and take responsibility for their learning. This is a junior-level class, and I am here to teach and assist in unraveling the mysteries.

Stay curious, scholars. It's going to be a fun year!

A little about me...

I was born and raised in the Amarillo, Texas area. I moved to Oklahoma for undergraduate classes at Oklahoma Christian and haven't left. I hold a bachelor's of Psychology from Oklahoma Christian and am working on an MBA from Oklahoma Christian as well.

I play Ultimate Frisbee for my college and am using my last year of eligibility for it. I have played ultimate frisbee in two other countries and would not give it up for anything.

As a former track athlete and now ultimate frisbee athlete, sports have had a huge impact on my life. This quote by Prefontaine is a personal favorite.

"It really gets grim until the competition begins. You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've given myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement."
