Hello ASTEC Stars!!!

My name is Ms. Leslie Kearns. I am so excited to be joining the ASTEC family for my first year as a part of the team.
I am extremely excited to be working with the 3rd Grade Stars this 2023-2024 year.
Here is a little bit about my life. I was born and raised here in Oklahoma. I graduated college and played Division One Field Hockey as goalie for Saint Louis University. I received my Masters degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma, so I am a Sooner Fan, but I will happily root for all Oklahoma teams.
My heart belongs to my little three year old pug, Bode. He is 30 pounds of pure fluffy love and affection.
When not enjoying time in the classroom with my scholars I like to run, practice yoga, read, cook, and hanging out with my family and friends.
My overall goal for this year is to build a community within our classroom, as we are more than a teacher and a scholar, we are a family.
