Welcome!

Hi! I’m Mary Grotelueshen, and I’m so excited to be part of your child’s learning journey this year.

I grew up in Houston, Texas, and I’ve always had a heart for young learners. I earned my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Southern Nazarene University (SNU), and later completed my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. My time teaching in the Lower Primary program at the SNU School for Children helped shape my love for supporting early learners through creativity, exploration, and developmentally appropriate practices.

One of the greatest joys of my life was homeschooling my four children for nearly two decades. During those years, I created a rich, hands-on learning environment tailored to each of their unique interests and needs. That experience deeply shaped my belief that every child learns differently and thrives when they feel known, encouraged, and valued.

In the summer, I work at Camp SOAR, where I host baking camps that blend practical skills, confidence-building, and lots of fun. There’s something special about learning by doing—and maybe enjoying a sweet treat at the end!

Outside of the classroom, I love baking, reading, spending time with my family, and gathering with friends. I truly believe that learning should be joyful, meaningful, and filled with wonder. I look forward to partnering with you to help your child grow, explore, and shine this year!
