Hello ASTEC Students and Families!

I am excited to join the ASTEC team. My goal this year is to introduce students to physical education standards in a way that is fun and unique. I hope students will enjoy and grow in their knowledge of safety, fundamental skills, exercise, health, wellness, and nutrition.

 

I am excited to be joining this school community as a valued member of our teaching staff. I come from Kansas and I am a proud alumnus of Central State University, now known as the University of Central Oklahoma, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. My dedication to education and sports has been evident throughout my career.

With 32 years of teaching experience in the state of Oklahoma, I retired in 2022, but my passion for teaching and coaching remains as strong as ever. My extensive career has allowed me to coach a variety of sports, enriching the lives of countless students along the way. I hold certifications to teach Health and Physical Education for grades PK-12 and I'm also certified to teach middle school social studies.

 

I am a father to five grown children and a grandfather to four grandchildren. This will be my 33rd year in education, and I'm eager to make it a memorable one for both my students and their families.
