My parents and the lion's share of my family on both sides were teachers. My dad was a superintendent, too. To say that I was raised in education is an understatement.  

 

I have taught elementary and secondary Vocal Music, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, Music History, Leadership, Band, Drama, ACT Prep, and Freshman and Sophomore English.  

 

My teaching career started in 1995. I took small amounts of time off in between to serve as the National Director of Programs and Projects for the American Kids Talent Organization, run my event planning and entertainment business, open my own vocal coaching business, and manage three different restaurants. I have always come back to teaching. It is my purpose and my way of giving back to the universe.

 

On the weekends, I spend time with my family and friends, travel to Medicine Park quite often, sing in my band, which has been performing professionally for 25 years, plan weddings and events, and watch as many OU sports as I can possibly fit in.
