BIOLOGY
Biology consists of the study of basic principles governing all living things. Subject matter incorporates relevant sciences such as chemistry and environmental science to understand the processes necessary for life. The cell’s role in transforming energy is investigated along with the structure and function of DNA. Scholars explore ecosystem-level processes through real-world problems such as habitat loss and conservation. Scholars enrolled in Biology utilize an evidence-based approach to investigate and explain scientific phenomena as it relates to life.

6th Grade Math
Welcome to Dr. Muschinske's 6th Math class! We know our scholars are more than test scores. Our goal is to support select scholars in identifying and addressing gaps in their math knowledge by focusing on fundamental math skills. Through engaging games and interactive activities, we aim to enhance their math skills and boost their confidence. Join us on this exciting journey to mathematical mastery.
Science Innovation
Science Innovation is an interdisciplinary elective that invites scholars to explore science as a creative and applied endeavor. The course blends principles of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics to examine how scientific ideas connect to real-world challenges and imaginative design. Scholars investigate thematic questions—such as how humans adapt to extreme environments, how forensics uncovers hidden truths, and how new inventions are developed and tested—through hands-on projects and collaborative problem solving. Emphasis is placed on curiosity, innovation, and communication, encouraging scholars to see themselves as both scientists and creators capable of shaping the future.
