Hello Parents and Scholars !
My name is Luis Garcia. I love being an algebra teacher at ASTEC!

I am a civil engineer with a master's degree in finance. I have worked in the engineering field for many years and also taught in colleges.
​
I teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Robotics for a group of fantastic high school scholars. I teach Consumer Math to some equally fantastic middle school scholars.
I consider myself very privileged to be a part of the ASTEC faculty and to have the opportunity to teach my students.

I am originally from Honduras and speak Spanish.
​
I look forward to teaching scholars, getting to know them and helping them to be successful.

This is my family.
My wife Elvia Zoe and I have been married for 30 years.
My family includes my daughter, Zoe Garcia-Schlett, who is married to Ethan Schlet. My other daughter, Vivian Wideman, is married to Harley Wideman, and last but not least is my 22 year old son Felipe.
Dogs are my favorite animals, but I love cats too!
I love the art of painting. I enjoy being creative and painting oil and acrylic paintings.
