Greetings! My name is Shelby Bailey, I was born and raised in Oklahoma City. My academic journey led me to The University of Central Oklahoma, where I proudly graduated with honors in 2019.

Embarking on a new chapter, I am thrilled to immerse myself in the dynamic world of middle school teaching. Prior to this endeavor, I focused my efforts as a long-term substitute teacher with Oklahoma City and Yukon Public Schools, accumulating three enriching years of experience working with middle and high school students.

Beyond the classroom, my interests include traveling, exploring the outdoors, historical documentaries, and fostering enjoyable moments with my sweet dog, Rosie. My passion for Fine Arts is equally strong, motivating me to actively engage with and support our local art communities.

My educational philosophy is to create a safe and nurturing environment, where students can learn to express themselves while developing the skills needed to be successful in the 21st century. I strive to cultivate a learning environment that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.

Looking ahead, I'm beyond excited and can't wait to work with some amazing 6th graders this year. It's gonna be a journey filled with excitement, growth, and lots of learning. Let's dive into this awesome academic adventure together!

Meet Rosie! She loves cuddling, chew toys, playing fetch.

I love visiting different places and going on nature adventures. This is a huge, beautiful banyan tree in Daytona, FL.

The left is an amphitheater where the people of the city would hold meetings and debates.

Over the summer, I got to visit Italy! One visit in particular was to the Ancient City of Poseidonia, also known as Paestum. The history student in me had a blast!
