I've lived most of my life in Oklahoma, but I was born in Mexico City. As a toddler, I spoke only Spanish, but I've sadly forgotten 90% of it.

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. While attending OU, I did some work as a substitute teacher and discovered I loved it! After graduation I attended the University of Central Oklahoma and took classes in education and earned my teacher certification.

I've spent my professional life as a travel agent, a property manager, and a realtor; but teaching is where I belong. I'm so happy to work with ASTEC's amazing scholars again this year!
