Welcome to 7th Grade English! In this course, scholars will develop the reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language skills outlined in the Oklahoma Academic Standards for English Language Arts. Through engaging texts, meaningful discussions, writing activities, and collaborative learning, scholars will strengthen their ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and apply their English language skills across a variety of contexts.

Scholars will be expected to come to class prepared to learn every day. Being prepared means arriving on time with the necessary materials, being ready to participate, completing assigned work, and demonstrating a positive attitude toward learning. Consistent effort, active participation, and a willingness to challenge yourself are essential to success in 7th Grade English.

Together, we will build the skills, confidence, and habits scholars need to become strong readers, writers, communicators, and lifelong learners.
